I will never forget my fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Adams. She was smart and caring, and she had a smile for everyone she met. At the ripe old age of nine, I decided that I wanted to be just like her when I grew up, so I could be as inspirational as she was.

We all have the deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. That’s why I relish the opportunity to meet with education alumni and friends like you in my position as the new director of development for The University of Iowa College of Education.
