A Power of Annual Support

Every gift for the UI College of Education Advancement Fund can help change a life. That's because the College uses annual contributions to its College of Education Advancement Fund whenever and wherever the need is greatest-assisting students in overcoming financial challenges and strengthening every area of the College.

This vital resource helps make the difference between programs that try to keep up and those that set the pace. State funds and tuition may cover the education basics, but generous annual contributions to the advancement fund allow the College to continue offering outstanding programs, facilities, and faculty-even in the face of shrinking budgets.

Such reliable, yearly support can assist the College in providing need-based and merit scholarships, giving deserving students the chance to attend Iowa 's nationally ranked program. The advancement fund also helps support:

  • Collaborative efforts between students and in-service teachers
  • Opportunities for students to present research
  • Mentoring and internship programs for students
  • Expand on the use of essential technology and equipment
  • Faculty research

In addition, every gift to the College of Education Advancement Fund this year will help the College fulfill its $17 million fund-raising goal, which is part of the UI's seven-year, $1 billion comprehensive campaign. Good. Better. Best. Iowa : The Campaign to Advance Our Great University runs through 2005 and is being conducted under the guidance of the UI Foundation.

Your annual support for the College of Education Advancement Fund is crucial in enabling the College to respond quickly to current needs and opportunities. I would also welcome the opportunity to talk with you about supporting one of the College's featured priorities in the Good. Better. Best. Iowa campaign. Such designated gifts ensure the College's long-term vitality and excellence and help it fulfill strategic initiatives. No matter what kind of gift you choose to make, your support for UI education has the power to change the future.
