HESA Students Recognized as Leaders
June 08, 2012
A University of Iowa student organization was recently honored for its contributions to student and campus life. GOHESA (Graduate Organization for Higher Education and Student Affairs) earned the Outstanding Graduate Student Organization Award as well as the award for Outstanding Program at the annual Hawkeye Leadership and Service Awards, which recognize the accomplishments of student organizations, student organization leaders, student organization advisers, and campus partners.
The Outstanding Program award recognized the group's Practicum Showcase, during which offices from around the UI campus and other nearby colleges and universities to join Higher Education students for an information fair about practicum opportunities. The group's other activities include community service projects and fundraising, as well as professional development and social activities.
