Professional Development in the Teacher Leader Center

The new Teacher Leader Center, one of the first of its kind in the nation, opened in 2011 provides professional development to teacher education students on the topics of assessment, technology, and community/diversity.

This center takes our teacher education program to another level, not just in the state of Iowa but nationally.

Every student now entering our teacher preparation program will obtain a Teacher Leader Certificate by attending workshops and boot camps offered in the Center. Visit the calendar of events to learn more about professional development sessions.

In addition to K-12 teacher education professional development, the Teacher Leader Center hosts a variety of programs for graduate students enrolled in master's and doctoral programs in the College of Education. View the calendar of events for graduate student programming.
