Personal Philosophy of Education

My philosophy of education is simple.  I will teach to each student and their individualities.  I will treat all my students in an equitable fashion.  My goal is to meet each child where they are and to help, inspire, and encourage them to reach their potential.  A caring, enthusiastic, and motivated teacher can have an immeasurable impact on a child.

I will bring with me to my classroom each day my love of children, positive motivation, responsibility, creativity, knowledge, and experience.  I will reflect regularly on my teaching in order to always be at my personal best in the classroom.  My overall goal in teaching elementary children is to inspire and teach my students to become readers, not just people who can read; writers, not just people who can write; and life-long learners, not just receptacles of knowledge.  If I have done this with as many students as possible, I will consider myself a successful teacher.
